Girl group Momoland, and solo artists Kim Jae-hwan and Ha Sungwoon, former members of boy band Wanna One, will perform at the “Good Friends in Manila” show set for Oct. 5 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Momoland’s popularity surged with their song “BBoom BBoom” going viral in the Philippines and other countries. The music video for “BBoom BBoom” has garnered 374 million views on YouTube since upload on Jan. 3, 2018.
The song has been certified platinum by Gaon Music Chart for reaching 2.5 million downloads and for getting 100 million streams. At the 2019 Soribada Best K-Music Awards held last Aug. 22 in Korea, Momoland won a Bonsang award.
Kim Jae-hwan rose to fame as a member and main vocalist of boy band Wanna One after winning in the survival reality TV show “Produce 101” Season 2.
After Wanna One disbanded last December, he debuted as a solo artist with the release of his album “Another” last May.
Ha Sung-woon also became popular by being a member of Wanna One. He made his solo debut by releasing the album “My Moment” last February.
His second mini-album “BXXX” was released last July 8, which debuted at No. 2 on the Gaon Music Chart.
Pre-selling of tickets to the show will be held Aug. 31 at Gateway Cineplex lobby, while the general ticket selling starts Sept. 1 at Ticketnet outlets and online.
“Good Friends in Manila” is presented by MLD Entertainment and Loun Holdings, and organized by DnM Entertainment.
