K-pop boy band Super Junior will make their comeback with a new album and launching of their world tour.
They will launch their “Super Show 8” world tour at KSPO Dome in Seoul on Oct. 12 and 13, their first concert in 10 years after members had completed their military service. Kyuhyun was discharged from the military in May this year.
For the new studio album, members who will participate are Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun and Heechul. Sungmin is on hiatus while Kangin left Super Junior last July due to personal issues.
But Heechul will not participate in “Super Show 8” and TV music show activities due to lingering leg condition.
In an announcement posted on the Super Junior website, Label SJ said that “’Super Show 8’ this time will feature eight members including Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun. Heechul will still contribute to the content of the full album vol.9 and join variety shows together with Super Junior,” according to Newsen and V Live Today.
“However, after an in-depth discussion with the group members, he decided not to take part in ‘’Super Show 8’ and music show activities for this album,” the label said.
It added, “Currently, Heechul’s leg condition is preventing him from performing on stages continuously, so inevitably, we have to make the aforementioned decision. We hope that fans will understand.”
With the upcoming launch of “Super Show 8,” Pinoy fans are excited for their return to Manila to hold the show.
