Three Binibini queens – Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Emma Tiglao and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Resham Saeed – are ready to shine in beauty pageants abroad.
During triple send-offs and a victory party held at Novotel Manila in Araneta City in Quezon City Monday night, the three beauty queens started their campaign for their respective competitions.
The Binibinis said they are excited to share to the world some good news from the Philippines.
“Pageants in the Philippines have become progressive, about the way they represent the girls, as we represent our advocacy. I think that’s something we are really proud of,” said Saeed, who will represent the Philippines in Miss Supranational in Poland on Dec. 6.
“But what I am most excited to share about the Philippines are the food and the culture. I want to go to Poland and I want that every time they see me, they know I am representing the Philippines, even if I don’t have my sash or I’m not telling them that I’m from the Philippines,” said Saeed.
Ganados said: “What I what to share about the Philippines is how heartwarming we are when we really get to know one another. And there’s a deeper sense of knowing what the Philippines is all about. The best thing can describe it – paradise.”
Ganados will vie for 2019 Miss Universe in Atlanta, Georgia on Dec. 8.
Meanwhile, Tiglao said, “It’s almost Christmas when I compete in Egypt on Dec. 20. In the Philippines, we celebrate Christmas with family and friends. I come from Pampanga and it is known as the Christmas capital of the Philippines. I will also show them the photos of giant lanterns in Pampanga.”
The triple send-off event also coincided with the victory of Leren Mae Bautista who won 2nd runner-up in Miss Globe pageant in Montenegro in October.
The three Binibinis continue to promote the Philippines as a fun destination.
“Aside from food and culture, the beaches we have in the Philippines are just out-of-the-world. I would like to take my friends to a beach-trip here,” said Saeed.
“I would like to share to them the food that we have in Pampanga like the sisig. Of course, the beach. We have nice and funny tourist guides here. Tourists would always want to have memorable experiences in a destination,” said Tiglao.
Ganados said: “We have lechon festival in Talisay (Cebu). My float was actually full of lechon. We literally gave free lechon on the day of my homecoming. So in my next homecoming in Manila, we will also give free lechon to the public.”
Both Ganados and Tiglao are aiming for back-to-back victories in international pageants.
Reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray and Miss Intercontinental Karen J. Gallman are both from the Philippines.
Among the well-wishers at the event include Bb. Pilipinas Chair Stella Marquez Araneta, Bb. Pilipinas 1st runner-up Aya Abesamis, and Bb. Pilipinas 2nd runner-up Samantha Bernardo.
