There will be a change in what drama actor Jericho Rosales usually offers and it begins next year.

“Wala munang teleserye this year kasi patapos na ang taon—and we’re working on maybe a comedy show with ABS-CBN in 2020,” he said. “So, 2020 would be, like, maraming-maraming mga bagong projects na ini-explore ko.”

He refused to give more details save to say it will be “ibang klaseng comedy.”

In fact, Jericho is working on not one, but two comedy films both for release next year.

I am really into film now. I am looking forward to the films that are lined up next year,” he said. “In 2020, gusto kong gumawa ng mas maraming films.”

According to previous reports, he will be working with directors Adolf Alix, Jr. and Paul Soriano though he didn’t say if those are for the comedy projects.

The actor explained why he’s focusing on doing films next year.

This time, parang, wala, eh, love ko talaga ang cinema and film so I just basically can’t wait anymore.

The interview with Jericho was held on the red carpet of the opening night of Cinema One Originals Film Festival. He may not have an entry this year but the one he did in 2014, was one of his better films.

The festival runs till Nov. 17 at Trinoma, Glorietta, Ayala Manila Bay, Gateway, and Powerplant Makati. There will also be screenings at Vista Cinemas in Iloilo and Evia Lifestyle and in Cinema Centenario, Cinema ‘76, Black Maria, UP Cine Adarna, and FDCP Cinematheque Manila.
