Seasoned actress Lotlot de Leon has always been all the way in supporting her kids endeavors, including trying her hand at managing her son’s basketball team.
The 48-year-old Kapuso star and her husband Fadi El Soury are the managers of the Quezon City Defenders, which is the official team of Quezon City for National Basketball League (NBL).
Diego, who happens to be Lotlot’s son with her former husband, actor Ramon Christopher, is part of the group.
“So, kung makakatulong ako na mas mapagaan ang proseso for him to reach his dream and also for the boys, why not? I think, it’s really meant to be. Kasi when we were asked, everything went smoothly. Parang walang naging sagabal. Everybody agreed to help and to be there for the team,” she said.
The other players of Quezon City Defenders are Bryan Cabrera, Enzo Battad, Normel de los Reyes, Nikko Lazo, Joshua Roque, Joshua Bringas, MJ Enriquez, Nikko Lao, Mark Puspus, Bryan Nabayra, Dave Torregoza, JR Barde, Peter Cecilio, Jeff Comia, Adzhar Udjan, Jake Bagon, Patrick Boffa, and Edric Estacio.
Lotlot’s brother-in-law, Mickey Estrada, is the team’s head coach. The assistant coaches are Don Zamora, James Garcia and Jeff Martin.
