Rising actor Seth Fedelin said leading lady Andrea Brillantes is one of few friends he has in show business.
“Mahalagang tao siya sa akin,” he said in an interview.
He gets affected whenever she’s in low spirits. Andrea, herself, attests to it.
“‘Pag malungkot ako lagi siyang nand’yan. Laging nang-aasar, laging pinapatawa, tsaka nagbibigay siya ng favorite kong chocolate,” she shared.
How close are they?
“Nararamdaman ko ‘pag may mali sa kanya kasi parehas kaming makulit, madaldal. Kaya ‘pag nanahimik siya, siyempre naninibago po ako. Tapos lagi kong tinatanong kung anong nasa isip niya kasi baka minsan pagod lang o meron siyang pinagdadaanan,” she said.
“Tapos sabi ko din po kasi sa kanya — since malayo po siya sa family niya ngayon kasi nasa Cavite po family niya at hindi niya nakakasama dahil sa work —sabi ko sa kanya ‘Habang wala sila, aalagaan kita, I’m always here, family mo rin ako.'”
She likens Seth to her “crush,” Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks to gain recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village in the story of the Japanese manga series.
“Mahal na mahal ko pa rin naman po si Naruto, ‘di ko siya ipagpapalit. Pero aaminin ko nakikita ko din si Naruto sa kanya (Seth). Parehas silang makulit, masiyahin, hindi nag-give up, pinaghihirapan ‘yung mga meron sila and laging understanding! Lahat ng mga good qualities ni Naruto (meron siya),” she noted.

At a recent press conference, the two shared messages for each other.
Andrea congratulated Seth with his success in show business, considering he was only discovered this year through “Pinoy Big Brother Otso.”
“Thank you kasi sinuportahan mo ako, thank you sa pag ke-care mo sa akin, sa pag-intindi mo sa akin kahit minsan tinotopak ako, kasi siyempre sa pagod,” she continued. “Nandito ako palagi para sayo and alam mo ‘yun. I will always support you.”
Seth reiterated gratefulness for her friendship.
“Nagpapasalamat ako kasi tinarato mo akong tunay na kaibigan, pinaramdam mo sa akin na may kaibigan ako. Kasi kung tutuusin, Gold Squad (Andrea, Francine Diaz, and Kyle Echarri) pa lang naman po ‘yung kaibigan ko dito (sa showbiz). So salamat kasi andiyan ka,” he said. “Salamat dahil nagtiwala ka sa akin, nagtiwala ka na kaibiganin mo ako, nagtiwala ka sa trabaho natin. And lagi mong tatandaan na andito ako palagi para sayo, maasahan mo ako.”
The members of Gold Squad are set to bring the magic of young love from TV to digital as they star in their first movies as love teams. These will be streamed back-to-back on iWant on Nov. 23 and 27.
In SethDrea’s “Wild Little Love,” Sam (Andrea) is a spoiled, rich girl forced to attend a public high school as punishment for her wild, chaotic behavior. Having a hard time adjusting to her new environment, she gets help from hardworking chick magnet Jake (Seth), who teaches her the ways of the simple life.
As the two start to catch feelings for each other, they slowly discover that the large gap between their socio-economic backgrounds will hinder their blossoming relationship.
Directed by Benedict Mique and co-produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and LoneWolf films, “Wild Little Love” also stars Carmina Villaroel, Alfred Vargas, Criza Taa, Jin Macapagal, and Victor Neri.
Two long-time friends will navigate romance in KyCine’s “Silly Red Shoes,” which is about sweet and shy Chuck (Kyle) and simple and good-hearted Ashley (Francine). Planning to revive his family’s worn out shoe business, Chuck asks for the help of Ashley to model a new pair of shoes for a contest. Insecure of her “alien feet,” which change sizes every day, Ashley finds a reliable and determined shoemaker in Chuck.
As the two grow closer, they discover a secret behind a mysterious pair of red shoes that seem to be too perfect for Ashley.
“Silly Red Shoes,” is directed by James Mayo and co-produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and Spring Films. It also stars Anna Luna, Karen Reyes, and Herbert Bautista.
The streaming date of the shows will be based on fan’s votes, which will decide which of the two movies will stream first via an ongoing Facebook poll through Nov. 22.
