K-pop boy band BTS bagged the Most Loved Artist award at the inaugural V Live Awards V Heartbeat ceremony held Nov. 16 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
The ceremony honored artists who were “the most loved artist and the most beloved fans of V LIVE this year.” V Live is an online video platform based in Korea used mainly by Korean stars to communicate with fans.
BTS took the “most votes in the pre-voting” stage to win the award. The nominees were 17 artists in The Global Artist Top 12 and Global Rookie Top 5 on V Live. BTS got 458,958 votes, or 27.75 percent of the total followed by EXO, 242,820 (14.68 percent); X1, 215,218 (13.01 percent); GOT7, 152,325 (9.21 percent); and Stray Kids, 148,949 (9 percent).
The winners of the V Live Global Artist Top 12 are BLACKPINK, BTS, EXO, Stray Kids, TWICE, Winner, GOT7, iKON, IZ*ONE, MONSTA X, NCT and Seventeen. The nominees were artists who became active on V Live from Dec. 1, 2019 to Sept. 30, 2019. Winners were selected by adding the total number of plays, hearts and comments during the period.
Bagging the V Live Global Rookie Top 5 awards are X1, AB6IX, CIX, ITZY and TXT. Nominees were artists who debuted after Dec. 1, 2018 and opened a V Live channel. The winners were also chosen by adding the number of plays, hearts and comments.
The V Live Global Partnership award went to MONSTA X and Mamamoo while Jannabi won the V Live Discover award.
Hoonion grabbed the Favorite V View Star award and April’s Naeun and Golden Child’s Bomin were awarded the Favorite Web Series Actors. “A-TEEN2” won the Most Loved Web Series.
Noo Phuoc Thinh won the Favorite Artist in Vietnam, Afgan bagged the Favorite Artist in Indonesia and Anne-Marie won Favorite Artist Worldwide.
