PH stars announced to grace 2nd AAAs gala in Singapore

Actors Nadine Lustre, Dimples Romana, and Tirso Cruz III are attending the second Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAAs) at Victoria Theatre in Singapore.

Theirs were the “first batch of names” announced on the AAAs Instagram account to grace the Gala Final Awards Show on Dec. 5 and 6.

Dimples is nominated in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category for “Kadenang Ginto. ” Tirso is vying for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Santiago for his performance as “Heneral Tiago” Guerrero on “The General’s Daughter.”

The organization noted that the list is “subject to change” and more names will be announced.

“AAAs are excited to announce that the Philippine’s Nadine Lustre will be attending the 2019 Gala Final! Nadine is up for the Best Actress in a Leading Role award and she will be gracing the E! Red Carpet as well!,” AAA shared in another post.

Last month, Bulletin Entertainment announced that the Carlo Aquino-Nadine starrer “Ulan” dominated the regional list of winners for the Philippines at the second AAAs.

The film bagged seven awards including Best Actor and Best Actress in a Leading Role for Carlo and Nadine, respectively; Best Cinematography for Neil Daza; Best Direction (Fiction) and Best Original Screenplay for Irene Villamor; Best Sound; and Best Feature Film.

The winners will represent the country at the Gala Finals on Dec. 5 and 6.

AAAs also released the names and titles of regional winners from countries like Australia & New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The AAAs forms a significant pillar of the Singapore Media Festival, supported by the Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
