Maine Mendoza hit back at “fans” behind the trending hashtag calling her boyfriend, Arjo Atayde, a user.
“Wow, some “fans” made #NoToArjoTheUser trend today. Congrats! But I say #YesToArjo.” Mendoza tweeted on Monday.
The hashtag “#NoToArjoTheUser” trended on Twitter a day after Mendoza uploaded a TikTok video of her and Atayde doing the “Tala” dance challenge which went viral on social media.
A number of Mendoza’s fans threw their support behind Atayde after the actress’ tweet, writing tweets with the hashtag #YesToArjo.
“Fans who truly love & support you definitely say #YesToArjo too. Count me in,” user @elvssszzz wrote.
Meanwhile user @AFaneyme wrote: “Whoever makes you happy @mainedcm, we will support and respect him! #YesToArjo.”
Mendoza and Atayde recently celebrated their first anniversary as a couple.
Last December 21, Mendoza shared a photo of her and Atayde in a yacht with the caption: “happy first ♡.”
